Our research indicates that from a worldwide perspective; the tool can provide information that can lead to savings of 10-12% of the CO2 output attributed to air travel through differing flight selection or providing information on alternative modes of transport. At the corporate or governmental level, implementation of the tool shows results in the 15-20% range for actual reductions when implemented within a framework of existing policies and tools. Currently in a hard model simulation we see savings of approximately 180,000 metric tons per year for each large enterprise (over 20,000 employees). The tool as delivered is capable of working as an adjunct to existing travel tools and when implemented as part of corporate travel programs with aggressively “green” policies, we anticipate in the short term with an initial client base of 20 large corporations – it would impact the travel of 200-300,000 business travelers with a 12-15% reduction in CO2 from business travel over the 1st year or approximately 3.7 Million tons.
